Having studied psychology at Adelaide University, I experienced depression, anxiety, and panic states, following a very severe car accident, a quarter century ago.
At that time, the treatment of choice was benzodiazepines, like Valium, which I was aware of the difficulty of withdrawing from, and the early, risky antidepressants.
Accordingly, I decided to make a study of the available literature, and try out various treatments, in order to discover which were most effective. By the continued use of the treatments which I now recommend, I manage to keep my depression and anxiety well controlled, with no panic attacks for more than 20 years.
