I am an acupuncturist and practice a unique style of acupuncture grounded in a physical medicine approach. A curriculum to teach what I do is in the works as is a book about the bodymind as an open unblocked instrument - reflecting my present career interests, my past career as an actor on the NY stage, martial arts, yoga, and eastern philosophy. Since 2005 I have been the acupuncturist at the Cleveland Clinic Pain Mgmt Dept. While at the clinc, I was poisoned by a urologist who insisted I take Cipro - since then I have been working even more with natural medicine to rehab myself from small fiber neuropathy, tendon pain and tendon issues, cartilage damage, muscular damage and other issues all caused by taking the drug Cipro.
There is a growing number of "Floxed" people in this country - those with long term &/or permanent damage from taking fluoroquinolone drugs (cipro, levequin, avelox, etc). .. . our stories are often shrugged off as not possible by docs who prescribe these drugs and don't know better. I also hope to bring more awareness to the community about the dangers of these drugs and docs who prescribe them without knowing the full wrath of the side effects from these drugs.
